How to set it up
- Pick the app
Open MacDupl and choose Figma from the list of apps installed on your Mac. - Name and colour it
Call it “Work”, “Personal” or a client's name, and give it one of nine icon tints. - Hit Create
About two seconds later there's a new Figma in your Dock — sign into the second Figma account — team list and files stay in that instance's own session.
Questions about Figma
Can I be in a client's team and my own at once?
Yes. Each instance signs into its own Figma account, so both stay open at the same time.
Do fonts and plugins carry over?
An instance starts with its own isolated data, so you set it up once for that account.
Is this better than using the browser?
It's the same idea taken further: a real second app with its own Dock icon and its own permanent session, rather than a tab you keep re-authenticating.
Can I group instances per client?
Yes. Instances can be grouped into named workspaces, and a whole workspace launches or quits in one click.
