MacDupl

Privacy Policy

Effective date: July 16, 2026 · Last updated: September 6, 2026

This policy reflects how the app and site behave today. It should still be reviewed by a lawyer licensed in Indonesia before you rely on it for a real launch.
The short version: MacDupl runs entirely on your Mac. It has no telemetry and no analytics. It never sees the contents of the apps you clone or the accounts you sign into. The only data that ever leaves your Mac is what's needed to check your license key and to check for app updates.

This Privacy Policy explains what data the MacDupl application and the macdupl.app website collect and how it is handled. MacDupl is provided by Sigit Surya Kusuma ("we", "us"), the data controller for the limited processing described below. Contact: support@macdupl.app.

What the app does not collect

MacDupl contains no analytics, no telemetry, no advertising, and no cloud sync. The clones you create, the accounts you log into, your files, and your app data all stay on your Mac. We never receive, transmit, or store them.

Data the app processes

Payments

Purchases are handled by Dodo Payments, acting as Merchant of Record. When you buy a license, you provide your payment and billing details directly to Dodo Payments — we never receive or store your card details. Dodo Payments processes that information as an independent controller under its own privacy policy; we receive only the information necessary to fulfill and support your order (such as your license key and order reference).

The website

The macdupl.app website is a static site hosted on Cloudflare Pages. Our hosting provider may automatically log standard request metadata (such as IP address and browser type) for security and reliability. The site also uses Cloudflare Web Analytics to count page views and referrers. It is cookieless — it does not use any client-side state or cross-site identifiers to track you, and it cannot be used to single out or follow an individual visitor across websites. This is separate from the application described above: the MacDupl app itself has no analytics or telemetry of any kind — this section covers only the marketing website.

The site also uses Google Tag Manager, Google Analytics, and the Meta Pixel to understand which pages and marketing campaigns (including paid ads on Google and Meta) bring people to the site. On your first visit you'll see a banner asking whether to allow this. Decline sets no cookies at all and does not affect your download or trial. If you choose Accept, Google Analytics and the Meta Pixel set cookies and process your data under their own respective privacy policies; your choice is remembered in your browser's local storage (not a cookie) so the banner won't ask again, and you can change your mind at any time by clearing your browser's site data for macdupl.app. No analytics or advertising tag is active until you accept.

The home page displays a Product Hunt badge, which is an image loaded from Product Hunt’s servers. Because your browser fetches it directly, Product Hunt receives the standard request metadata that any web request carries (such as your IP address and browser type) and handles it under its own privacy policy. We set no cookies for it, and it is only on the home page. Aside from that badge and the analytics scripts described above, the site loads no other third-party resources — our fonts, styles and images are all served from macdupl.app.

Data retention

License and order records are retained by us and by Dodo Payments for as long as needed to provide the product, support you, and meet legal and accounting obligations. Data stored locally by the app remains on your Mac until you remove the app or its data.

Your rights

Depending on where you live (for example under GDPR or CCPA/CPRA), you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or port the limited personal data we hold about you (such as your order and license records), and to object to or restrict certain processing. To exercise these rights, contact support@macdupl.app. For payment and billing data held by Dodo Payments, please also refer to their privacy policy.

Children

MacDupl is not directed to children under 13 (or the equivalent minimum age in your country), and we do not knowingly collect personal data from them.

International transfers

Our providers (including Dodo Payments and our hosting and update providers) may process data in countries other than yours. Where required, appropriate safeguards are applied by those providers.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be posted on this page with a revised "Last updated" date.
